Church Nursery
Church
volunteers provide babysitting services during both

toddlers.
Instructions for registering children are posted in
the nursery rooms. In the Infant Nursery, a nametag
should be placed on your child for easy identification.
Also, please mark diaper bags and other baby items
and provide any required special instructions to volunteers
before leaving your child in their care.
To
volunteer for the nursery, please call
the Church office.
CHILDREN'S
CHURCH
Children's church is
available during the second worship service (11 AM
during the school year, 10:30 AM during summer) each
Sunday.
Children may worship with their parents on Sunday or
leave the Sanctuary following the Children's Sermon
for Children's Church, which is held in Room 112 to
provide a time of worship, a Bible lesson, music and
a fun activity. Please
contact
Linda Hoffman for more information.

Wednesday
Prayer Services
THE FIRST
WEDNESDAY OF EACH MONTH
11:30
AM
If
anyone should ask me how to carry out the task
of prayer, I would say to that person: Accustom
yourself to walk in the presence of God and be
reverent.
-Theophan the Recluse
Every
first Wednesday Calvary Church offers a one-half hour
prayer service. Time is spent in quiet reflection,
the singing of hymns for the theme of the week,
sharing of our joys and concerns, and silent prayer.
The sacrament of Holy Communion is shared on the
first Wednesday of each month. Please join
us!

The
Altar Guild
The
purpose of the Altar Guild is to present before God,
a chancel area that is clean, orderly and reflecting
a true spirit for worship at all services. Currently
the guild's responsibilities include dusting the altar
with all of its appointments, the choir pews, organ,
pulpit, lectern, altar rail, baptismal font and any
other fixtures in the chancel area; placing the proper
color paraments on the altar, pulpit and lectern.
It is necessary to arrange the flowers presented as
memorials and honoraria with the celebration of certain
church holidays (i.e. Easter, Christmas, etc). |
The
Communion Guild
This
Guild purchases supplies (bread, juice, cups), and
at the direction of the Pastor prepares communion,
either by intinction, in the pews, or at the Altar
Rail. The members see that chalices, brass serving
trays, juice pourers, and the white cloths that
cover the elements on the altar and at the altar
rail are carefully cleaned and stored. Communion
services are usually held the first Sunday in January
(Covenant), Ash Wednesday, First Sunday in Lent,
Maundy Thursday, Pentecost, Summer Service, World
Communion and Christmas Eve.
