Stephen Ministry     Christ Caring for People Through People “Love one another…as I have loved you.”  John 13:34   What is a Stephen Minister? Stephen Ministry is grounded in Jesus’ command to love one another.  Through one-to-one caring relationships, those who are hurting receive the love and care they need to support them.   Stephen Ministry is: a child of God who walks beside a person who is hurting. a caring Christian who really listens. a lay person who has received 50 hours of training in providing distinctively Christian Care. strictly confidential.                                                                       Stephen Ministry is NOT: a counselor. problem solver. a casual friend or visitor.                                                                             “Take on one another’s burdens and in this way you fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2                    Stephen Ministry helps to meet the needs of those who are hurting. Needs: Life is more than you can handle alone right now. Your health, your attitude, or your relationships are suffering?
